Joordens Zaden

Italian ryegrass

Due to its exceptional vigour, Italian ryegrass (Lolium multiflorum) can be sown all through the year for purposes of green manure or forage production. If sown in autumn, there will be a very productive cut early after winter. Joordens has diploid and tetraploid varieties available. Tetraploid varieties have broader leaves and are more palatable than diploid varieties. However, in general, diploid varieties are more persistent.
